Saturday the 18th! A Fun - DANCING - TIME!

Hey all you Grounders!

Was Saturday night awesome, or what? The DDR (Dance Revolution) contest was awesome. Congratulations to Sydney Gilbert – the DDR CHAMPEEEEEN!!! Sorry, Brandon – you were close, but no cigar.

The House band kicked off with a new twist…since we had no drummer (HAPPY ANNIVERSARY ROGER!!! … hope you feel better Ren!) – we used a sequencer off a laptop to run drums, percussion and piano. It was the bomb! Our bass player, Ted Watson, me, and Emily (sans voice – hope you feel better too, sis! Pray for her!) jumped up and played several songs. HOWEVER…the big fun was the DDR contest.

I want to throw a BIG shout out to all of you newbies who were there! You guys ROCK! Emily F., Erica, the 2 Sara(h)s, …all of you! Do join us again!

The next coffeehouse is set for January 6, 2007. Tell someone! We are working on entertainment now and I am expecting something big…really!

BIG NEWS ABOUT MORGANN!!! (and BG Congrats!)

Higher Ground regular performer and our friend Morgann McClanahan has achieved GREATNESS!!! Well, we have always been of the opinion she is great, anyway…but this is BIG!

Morgann is an awesome singer and songwriter. She moved to Nashville about a year ago and has been employed by Daywind Music while pursuing her career.

HERE IS THE NEWS…

Morgann signed with the McRaes as a vocalist this week! YEAH – THE MCRAES! They have the number one song in the nation with “He Knows My Name.” BIG, BIG, BIG!!! Check them out at http://www.annieandkellymcrae.com - you will see Morgann’s smiling face right there on the main page!

Higher Ground - NOVEMBER 18th!!!

Hey all you Grounders!

WELCOME, WELCOME, WELCOME!!!!! We have had a tough few months, but we are back! Higher Ground is ON for NOVEMBER 18, 2006 at 7:00 P.M.

We are so appreciative of all of you who have taken time to contact us and ask, “What’s Up? When is the next coffeehouse?!!!” We have experienced scheduling conflicts, I took the bar exam, (yadda, yadda, yadda). I think we are now back on track!

The House Band has some new stuff to try on you…wait ‘til you hear “Smart Blessed Man.” I am working diligently on entertainment and will post accordingly ASAP. We are also planning a “Dance Revolution” Contest – wear comfortable shoes ;)

I am EXCITED! PLEASE MARK IT ON YOUR CALENDAR --- TELL SOMEONE! – and JOIN US on November 18th!!!
