February 4th - Lori & Back Door Band - GREAT MUSIC/GREAT TIME!

Hi All:

Chalk up another great evening of excellent entertainment at the ‘House!  Laura Luttrell and the Back Door Band played some super stuff with a lot of new music form the new CD “Glimpse of Heaven.”  The band consisted of Laura Luttrell, Melody Monk, Brandon Monk, Beth Elswick, Dale Elswick, Mike Luttrell, and, of course COLBY ELSWICK ON BASS!!! I will explain the significance of Colby on bass – he was absolutely KILLER on the bass guitar…and he is only 13!  You shoulda been there! ;)  Every song was awesome.  Lori has a silky, powerful voice and her anointing is evident.  The band – WOW!  Great job!

The HG House Band played the intro set with Emily Ratliff on lead vocals, Ted Watson, Roger Vandyke, K.T. Vandyke, Gene Boyd, Ren Harman, and BR.  FUN TIME!!!

Comedy by Jeff Arwood and Bobby Street…awesome job guys!  FUNNY STUFF!!!

I am a little pressed for time, but more later!!!  REMEMBER:  Next Higher Ground is set for March 4th!  The reason for the delay is that basketball fever has hit the area with the Twin Valley Panthers rated #1 in VIRGINIA!!!!  K.T. is a bball player on that team and we are very proud!  Anyway, playoffs will be going on during the third week of February, so we will be closed – GO OUT AND SUPPORT TWIN VALLEY AS THEY WIN THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!!!  GO PANTHERS!

Laura Luttrell and Backdoor Band (and more) at HG this weekend!
