Aprill 22nd show - A BLAST, INDEED!
Hey all you grounders!
How's it goin'? If you weren't there this past Saturday, you missed a great time! 3 comedy acts, some "Whose Line Is It Anyway," and the Higher Ground House Band!
The HG House Band started up the show with a great set that kicked off with "REVOLUTION" by inhabited - Em absolutely blew use away with her powerful vocals on that one ;) awesome! The band played two full sets with K.T. Vandyke, Emily Ratliff, Ren Harman, Gene Boyd, Ted Watson, Roger Vandyke, and B.R. Chris Hughes did a great job running sound and lights. The band was definitely on its best game this weekend with songs like "Better Now," "Sweet Home," "Hungry," "Who Am I," and "I Can Only Imagine! and a WHOLE LOT MORE"
Comedy was provided by Jeff Arwood, Bobby Street, and Derek Stilwell. These guys were AWESOME this weekend - in FINE form!!! Jeff Arwood and his buddy - DUMMY (no, er...really, it WAS a dummy!). He took time to respond to the "AX JEFF" questions and comments. Be sure to check the main web page at www.geocities.com/ofghigherground - click on the "AX JEFF" link and send him a question! HILARIOUS! Great job, Jeff! Bobbie Street - same as always - FUNNY, FUNNY, FUNNY! His one-liners keep everyone on the edge of their seat. - Bobbie - I am writing this slow since I know you cannot read fast... DEREK! MAN! Derek Stilwell did an outstanding job with his set. We hope to get these three in the same room again sometime! Derek kicked off the "Whose Line" stuff along with Chris Hughes...great job, guys!
